Document Controller

Our major pharmaceutical client in Indianapolis is looking for a document controller to join their Quality Systems team.

Payrate: $24.00/hr

Responsibilities include:

• Manage Quality System documents through preparation, review, approval and maintenance processes in order to meet business and compliance needs
• The above activities would mainly focus on routine processing tasks to include (but not limited to) document deletions, abbreviated approvals, targeted changes, and processing of business practice documents
• Ability to manage multiple deliverables/documents to ensure accurate and timely implementation, often within aggressive deadlines.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

·        Handling of all technical documentation for assigned project / department / unit, internal or from suppliers, partners, or clients, using applicable electronic document management system (EDMS) such as Documentum, IFS, etc.

o   Ensure that all documentation is properly controlled, archived, readily retrievable and secured.

o   Expedite outstanding documentation and comments.

o   Process feedback and comments in EDMS and forward relevant documents both internally and externally as appropriate.

o   Follow-up and secure timely delivery of all technical documentation.

·        Implement procedures, guidelines, Standards, Work Instructions and internal requirements for the Document Control function.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required OR equivalent combination of training, education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated instructional writing skills and experience to provide clear and concise direction on technically complex equipment
• Proficiency in communicating technical information to various stakeholders and related technical staff
• Edit and proofread their own work and the work of other specialists to ensure the documents they create are free of grammatical mistakes and technical inaccuracies.
