Position Summary
The Community Intervention Worker will be responsible for working directly with individuals and families in the community who may be facing various challenges and barriers. This role involves providing support, resources, and advocacy to help improve their overall well-being and access to necessary services.
The Community Intervention Worker will conduct street outreach within their focus area, in pre-determined gun violence hot spots to help identify and work with youth most at risk of being impacted by gun violence. Additionally, respond to hit shootings within their focus area, establishing trust with community members, leaders, and stakeholders will help CIWs to engage in violence prevention and intervention work safely and effectively.
