One of our partners, Jean Dousset Jewelry is a rapidly growing D2C fine jewelry brand that specializes in curating and  designing custom, traditionally handcrafted engagement rings and extraordinary jewelry. As the  direct descendant of Louis Cartier, and the designer of many iconic celebrity engagement rings (including Paris Hilton, Amy Adams, and Eva Longoria), Jean Dousset has a story and heritage  that cannot be replicated.  

 

We’re on a mission to democratize luxury jewelry and engagement rings by redefining the way  consumers shop in this category. There has been a paradigm shift in the engagement ring  industry with the rapid penetration of lab-grown diamonds. In 2021, we launched our exclusively  lab-grown diamond jewelry and engagement ring collection, Oui by Jean Dousset, and haven’t looked back since. Our motto: Luxury Evolved. Forever For Less.

 

We are seeking a seasoned jewelry retail professional to lead the opening of our flagship Jean Dousset boutique in Los Angeles. The Boutique Director will be charged with the successful tactical execution of all aspects of retail store objectives including the achievement of sales, staff education and training, customer service, clienteling, visual merchandising and overall brand standard execution. This person is passionate about the brand and our products, is always thinking about the consumer and how to elevate the Jean Dousset brand and experience. This is a full-time salary and commission-based position in our Los Angeles location. This position will require traditional retail hours (evenings, weekends and holidays).

Requirements

Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership:

  • Consistently achieve and/or exceed monthly sales target, as directed by management
  • Assist walk-ins and clients with appointments
  • Consistently and accurately capture client data for follow-up and relationship building, effectively utilizing the tools that are available
  • Foster client relationships with strong listening, presentation and closing skills to optimize sales results

Training + Development:

  • Onboard and train new associates
  • Provide consistent performance management with each Client Advisor
  • Deliver CX/company updates to team and ensure the information has been properly utilized

Customer Service:

  • Ensure team is delivering exceptional customer service to guests
  • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner while being resolution-oriented

Operations:

  • Daily Store Operations
  • Scheduling
  • Oversee Opening/Closing duties
  • Maintain proper store environment and presentation
  • Work with marketing and product team to relay customer feedback and insights
  • Work with marketing/ecomm team to streamline sales processes, including email automation and other CRM strategies

Reporting/Inventory:

  • Sales Analysis and item breakdown to corporate on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Maintain sales records for inventory control
  • Manage product shipments and back stock levels
  • Assist in display of merchandise/execute brand VM standards
  • Partner to get reordered in needed items based on sell through
  • Identify key areas that are being shopped in the store, partner on floor moves if updates are needed mid-season

Other Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
  • Experience using CRM platforms (ie Salesforce, Kustomer)
  • Must be available to work retail hours including some weekends
  • Open to criticism and ideas
  • Extremely organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Team player, motivated, collaborative

Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in jewelry industry
  • Established knowledge of high end jewelry (GIA courses or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of developing client portfolios and closing sales

Compensation: $90,000 minimum (based on experience) plus commission
