About the role
LifeMD is looking for an Accountant that has strong analytical skills that can participate in monthly close and daily reconciliation of various accounts. The position reports directly to the Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities
- Monthly Close
- Own the monthly close process for all Operating Expense, Capital Expenditure, Fixed Assets and payroll related items including journal entries, trial balances and account reconciliations
- Cash Reconciliation
- Manage the reconciliation process related to bank accounts
- Credit Card Reconciliations
- Manage the reconciliation process related to credit cards
- Intercompany Reconciliations
- Reconcile intercompany balances and perform reclassifications at month end if needed
- Expense Control
- Partner with AP and other Finance partners to help manage all expense accruals and variance analysis
- Financial Systems
- Participate in select aspects of key projects concerning financial systems enhancements
- Internal Controls
- Assist in the development of documentation and implement policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
- Audit
- Assist in the completion of relevant quarterly audit activities
- Special Projects
- Participate in special projects as assigned by the Senior Accountant and Accounting Manager
Requirements
- 2-4 years of general accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public and private company experience
- High energy, self-starter that is intellectually curious and a team player
- Strong fundamental knowledge of US GAAP
- Hands-on experience with SAP or equivalent ERP accounting software is required
- Proficient in utilizing business tools such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- CPA Preferred, but not required
