Member Service Representative

Our partner, a financial institution in Lansing, MI, is seeking a Member Service Representative who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service and building genuine connections with members. This role involves handling various financial transactions, assisting members with inquiries, and promoting Credit Union services.

Responsibilities:

• Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashiers' checks, money orders, and cash advances for members in person, via phone, and through mail.
• Balance daily transactions and verify cash totals.
• Perform member services functions such as opening and closing suffixes, renewing term deposits, and addressing account inquiries.
• Actively cross-sell Credit Union services to members.
• Perform clerical and receptionist functions as assigned.
• Assist other Member Service Representatives with duties as needed.
• Serve members promptly and professionally, helping them achieve financial success by promoting products and services.

Requirements

• Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience: No experience necessary; abilities generally acquired on the job in 12 months.
• Skills/Abilities:
• Good communication skills.
• Time management.
• Ability to operate computer applications and other business equipment.
