Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Accountant to join our growing team based in Washington, D.C. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities related to the pharmacy business and SaaS platform. Your role will encompass bookkeeping, accounting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both pharmacy retail operations and technology-driven SaaS platforms. Key Responsibilities
Recording Financial Transactions:
- Oversee the bookkeeping functions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Financial Reporting:
- Work closely with CFO to oversee the financial aspects of operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and efficient cash flow.
- Work closely with vendors and clients to address any billing or payment inquiries.
Payroll:
- Collaborate on processing payroll and maintain employee payroll records.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
Tax Preparation & Audit Support:
- Prepare and submit tax forms and other regulatory documents.
- Assist in financial audits and investigations.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Mitigate financial risks by implementing effective internal controls and risk management procedures.
- Manage financial controls, processes, and systems to safeguard company assets.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 + years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software including Quickbooks.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
- Demonstrated can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States to be eligible to apply for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification or active pursuit.
- Experience with pharmacy based accounting.

- Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 USD Annually
