Under the direction of the Medical Reception Supervisor, the Appointment Clerk/Medical Receptionist performs a variety of tasks for the agency in as much as it is the first contact via telephone by the prospective patient with the clinic. The position is considered a crucial link between the patient and the care delivered by the clinical and service staff of the center. This individual must work collaboratively with all Clinical services staff in support of direct patient services, exhibiting flexibility and a “can do” attitude. Patient services are the key priority in this position requiring the Appointment Clerk/Medical Receptionist to serve as a point of contact with other internal and external departments, all with the goal of fostering an environment that promotes patient comfort and trust. The position must exemplify the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions....

To facilitate the flow of organization information; to provide a positive, responsive environment for receiving internal and external customers via telephone and face-to-face.

*Pay Range: $20/hr. to $25/hr.

*Work Schedule: Availability of Monday to Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

• Answer and responds to incoming telephone calls
• Provide routine organization-related information to callers and visitors
• Signs for, receives and routes incoming mail, including courier deliveries
• Provide back-up clerical support to various departments
• Greets and responds to applicants for employment
• Maintains documentation related to Needs Assessment and Referral calls
