Are you a PE Electrical Engineer looking for a fully remote opportunity in the renewable energy industry?
Our client, a rapidly growing Engineering Consulting Firm, is hiring its first in-house Electrical Engineer. The Lead Electrical Engineer will develop engineering processes, standard drawings, and client relationships for electrical engineering projects. Top candidates will be proactive, detail oriented, and collaborative yet operate effectively with minimal oversight.
This position will start as an individual contributor but is expected to have direct reports within 3-6 months of hire.
Salary: $100,000-$130,000
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze residential and commercial solar design drawings. Depending on analysis results: approve and seal the drawings, send RFI’s, submit markups, or disqualify the project
- Perform calculations for load consumption, car chargers, batteries, and other situations as required
- Build an electrical engineering workflow from the ground up. Create and take ownership of: analysis processes; standard details; internal QA/QC processes
- Create electrical details and drawings as needed
- Respond to client and contractor RFI’s in a timely manner
- Mentor other engineers and technicians on staff
- Influence the future of the department by identifying new revenue streams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Active PE license with Electrical focus; NCEES Council Record holder
- Experience in the solar industry preferred but open to training the right candidate
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD
- Proficient in applicable provisions of the NEC and jurisdiction-specific requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
