What will I be doing?
This role will be hands-on in all things email marketing, developing segmentation & flow logic, analyzing performance metrics, monitoring deliverability, and will be responsible for managing expectations with clients as well as internal teams. This role is a dual role where you are leading strategy and/or leading production on some client accounts depending on your past experience and the current business need.
As the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Specialist, you’ll be acting in a dual role of Strategist and Production Specialist for small to midsize Lifecycle Marketing clients.
- What you’ll be responsible for when acting as Strategist:
- You’ll be overseeing the strategy for multiple clients in the beauty, wellness, fashion, and lifestyle industries. This includes strategies for email, SMS, loyalty programs, pop-ups, etc.
- You’ll be responsible for each of your client’s email & SMS program’s health and be accountable for revenue & engagement growth strategies, monitoring key KPIs such as conversion & engagement rates regularly to strategically recommend optimizations.
- Overall account management is a core function of this role, including project management of strategic initiatives, ensuring all deliverables are provided on time, managing the scope of work for your clients, and ensuring overall client happiness. You will work closely with a Lifecycle Marketing Specialist and be accountable for supervising their deliverables and performance for shared clients.
- You’ll be responsible for each of your client’s email & SMS program’s health and be accountable for revenue & engagement growth strategies, monitoring key KPIs such as conversion & engagement rates regularly to strategically recommend optimizations.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for reporting tasks, pulling data, analyzing results, and developing recommendations.
- You’ll be hands-on in the ESP to build automated workflows (drip campaigns), QA their logic, build segmentation, etc.
- What you’ll be responsible for when acting as Specialist:
- On a monthly basis, you will be responsible for leading the workflow management of email production for our clients and be responsible for meeting deadlines, and holding clients accountable to timelines.
- Overall account management is a core function of this role, including project management of strategic initiatives, ensuring all deliverables are provided on time, managing the scope of work for your clients, and ensuring overall client happiness.
- You’ll be hands-on in the ESP to build automated workflows (drip campaigns), QA their logic, build segmentation, etc.
- You’ll coordinate with the design team to make sure the email campaigns are being executed based on the email briefs you develop, and timelines are met for each campaign.
- You’ll be a go-to team member for mentoring specialists on client relationship building and technical skills.
Requirements
What do I need?
- Has 3+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing (email, SMS, loyalty programs, etc.). Your current or previous role would have consisted primarily of “email,” “retention,” “CRM,” or “loyalty” marketing.
- Klaviyo experience is a must.
- Shopify experience is preferred, working with apps such as Yotpo, Loyalty Lion, Rise, JustUno, Privy, etc.
- SMS experience preferred, using Klaviyo, PostScript, or Attentive.
- A firm understanding of each client’s strategy to provide support on deadline execution, guidance on growth opportunities, and execution of a successful lifecycle marketing program
- Has exceptional content writing skills and can come to the table with creative content ideas for our clients.
- Can adapt their writing style to a client’s tone of voice and style.
- Has an understanding of email analytics and pulling insights from those analytics.
- Knows the difference between email campaigns and email flows/drip campaigns/automations and how to use them effectively.
- Can easily create segmented lists.
