Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Director or Legal Recruitment to join our team. As a part of Premium Boutique Legal Recruiting Firm, you will successfully lead and manage a team of recruiters within the organization. Direct Counsel brings Legal local market intel to offer exceptional and exemplary workforce solutions to premier law firms and in-house legal departments, both locally and nationally.
As a Boutique Firm, at Direct Counsel, we work closely with law firms and organizations in a nimble manner to add value and provide top legal talent.
Requirements
- Recruiting attorneys and legal professionals for positions with law firms and corporate legal departments
- In-depth interviewing with attorneys and legal professional candidates to assess qualifications
- Networking with attorneys and legal professionals
- Extending offers of employment to attorneys and legal professional candidates and negotiating compensation packages
- Assisting clients and candidates in making discreet and informed employment decisions
- Successfully lead and manage a team of 4 legal recruiters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to meet the legal staffing needs of the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training to the recruiting team, enhancing their skills in candidate sourcing, screening, and placement.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, and key stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Must have strong understanding of the legal industry
- Enthusiastic, highly motivated and proactive
- Prior client service experience
- Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Legal background and the desire to move into a sales/recruiting role
- JD strongly preferred
