Direct Counsel is seeking a Senior Director or Legal Recruitment to join our team. As a part of Premium Boutique Legal Recruiting Firm, you will successfully lead and manage a team of recruiters within the organization. Direct Counsel brings Legal local market intel to offer exceptional and exemplary workforce solutions to premier law firms and in-house legal departments, both locally and nationally.

 

As a Boutique Firm, at Direct Counsel, we work closely with law firms and organizations in a nimble manner to add value and provide top legal talent.

Requirements

  • Recruiting attorneys and legal professionals for positions with law firms and corporate legal departments
  • In-depth interviewing with attorneys and legal professional candidates to assess qualifications
  • Networking with attorneys and legal professionals
  • Extending offers of employment to attorneys and legal professional candidates and negotiating compensation packages
  • Assisting clients and candidates in making discreet and informed employment decisions
  • Successfully lead and manage a team of 4 legal recruiters, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to meet the legal staffing needs of the organization, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing training to the recruiting team, enhancing their skills in candidate sourcing, screening, and placement.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, and key stakeholders, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong understanding of the legal industry
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and proactive
  • Prior client service experience
  • Strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Legal background and the desire to move into a sales/recruiting role
  • JD strongly preferred
