About Deep Origin
At Deep Origin, we are accelerating drug discovery by developing an integrated ecosystem of life science technology tools from hypothesis to insight.
Job Description
Join an international team of talented scientists, software engineers and ML researchers to design new methods for macromolecular modeling and solutions to advance our objective of drug discovery through innovation and rigorous scientific method development. In this role we seek scientists familiar with modeling of DNA, RNA, and their interaction with proteins using atomistic and coarse-grained simulation techniques. The responsibilities will include development of novel methods and their application to complex macromolecular systems and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on drug discovery projects. The preferred candidate will have exceptional communication skills, strong scientific background and research experience in the area of interest. The proficiency in programming and design of parallel and efficient software architectures using Python is strongly preferred. Knowledge of other programming languages such as C/C++ and Julia is also a plus.
Requirements
Requirements
- A PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience in modeling DNA, RNA and proteins
- Strong scientific background and problem solving skills
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Experience in all-atom and coarse-grained molecular simulations and analysis
- Knowledge of macromolecular data sources
Preferred qualifications
- Proficiency of programing in Python and development of good quality, maintainable, and documented code
- Experience with object oriented, algorithmic and parallel programming
- Knowledge of Git-based development (e.g. GitHub workflow, trunk-based workflow, code review process, etc.)
- Experience with task management applications (e.g. Notion, Jira)
