Full Job Description

Summitone.io, LLC is a Salesforce Consulting firm that helps small to medium sized businesses and nonprofits grow on the Salesforce Platform. We are seeking a Salesforce Consultant who can guide our clients towards the summit of Salesforce success through their consulting, ongoing administration, and project management skill sets. As a Salesforce Consultant, you will be at the forefront of empowering businesses to harness the Salesforce platform and its integrated products.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our clients, acting as their expert guide on their Salesforce journey. You will work closely with key stakeholders to understand their unique business requirements, challenges, and goals, mapping out strategic plans to deliver tailored Salesforce solutions. You will make use of your technical expertise, industry knowledge, communication skills, project management skills, and independent/collaborative problem-solving abilities to design, configure, and optimize Salesforce systems in line with industry standards, best practices, and the unique needs of Summit One’s clients.

Responsibilities:

70% - Salesforce Consulting

  • Conduct in-depth consultations and engage with clients to gather business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and develop a comprehensive Salesforce implementation plan.
  • Analyze and assess existing business processes and recommend/implement solutions to improve efficiency, increase productivity, and achieve business goals.
  • Configure and customize Salesforce to meet client needs, including data migration, integration with other systems, and development of custom functionalities.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, including Developers, Solution Architects, and Administrators, to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of Salesforce solutions.
  • Empower clients to use Salesforce effectively and promote user adoption by authoring training and support resources.
  • Continuously stay updated with Salesforce enhancements, new features, and industry trends to offer clients cutting-edge solutions and provide thought leadership.

20% - Project Management/Business Analysis

Take on the role of project manager & business analyst for assigned managed services engagements and projects, ensuring that all tasks are completed within the designated timeframe and budget parameters. Coordinate with internal teams and client stakeholders to gather project requirements and document them accurately in the project management system.

  • Requirement Gathering and Cleanup: Conduct requirements gathering sessions with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliverables. Clean up and organize gathered requirements to ensure clarity and consistency, and document them systematically in the project management system for easy reference.
  • User Story Generation: Translate gathered requirements into user stories that clearly define the desired functionality and outcomes. Collaborate with development teams to ensure that user stories are accurately represented and prioritized within the sprint backlog.
  • Sprint Cycle Management: Track and manage sprint cycles according to Agile methodology, ensuring that sprint goals are achieved within the specified timeframe. Monitor sprint progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Sprint Backlog Oversight: Maintain and prioritize the sprint backlog, ensuring that it accurately reflects the scope and priority of work for each sprint cycle. Work closely with development teams to allocate resources effectively and address any capacity or resource constraints.
  • Capacity and Budget Management: Monitor project capacity and budget parameters relative to sprint cycles, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and project expenses are within budgetary constraints. Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and budgetary considerations.
  • Meeting Logging and Agenda Management: Log all project-related meetings in the project management system, including client meetings, internal team meetings, and status update meetings. Modify meeting agendas as needed based on evolving project requirements and communicate them effectively with all stakeholders.

10% - Business Development/Ecosystem Participation

  • Establish and develop relationships with industry and vendor partners
  • Participate and contribute to Zero Hour, Summit One’s bi-weekly professional development and hands-on workshop.
  • Participate and contribute in different areas of thought leadership across the Salesforce ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience administering the Salesforce Platform, with a track record of successful Salesforce implementations or project completions.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, customization, and data migration using declarative tools. Flow expertise is highly desirable.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator. Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder & Advanced Administrator are highly desirable.
  • Natural problem-solving abilities. Ability to problem-solve independently is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills. Experience in Agile methodology is highly desirable.
  • Comfortable authoring training materials in a well-structured and easy-to-read format.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and convey technical concepts effectively.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce platform functionalities, capabilities, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to align Salesforce solutions with clients' specific requirements. Experience across high-tech, financial services, and nonprofit industries is desirable but not required.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integrations. Experience with integrated form tools, eSign tools, document management systems, and marketing automation platforms is desirable but not required.
  • Ability to anticipate challenges and propose potential/alternative solutions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a focus on maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
