Job Title: QA Manager.
Department: APP - IT.
Reports to: Chief Technology Officer.
Experience Required: At least 2-3 years of QA Management experience
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000.
Supervisory/Training Responsibilities: This role may supervise/manage others.
Schedule: 8:00AM – 5:00PM ET.
Job Location: Remote in the United States*.
Job Overview
The QA Manager directs the entire quality assurance process to ensure the delivery of high-quality web and mobile software products. This role is responsible for defining the QA strategy, planning the testing activities, managing the test resources, reporting the test results, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This includes coordinating cross-functional processes across QA disciplines (manual, automated) as well as managing testing throughout various techniques (unit, integration, end-to-end, visual, etc.). This role will enable us to take the next step in growth and take on more ambitious and challenging projects.
Requirements
People Leadership and Collaboration:
- Manage and lead our QA team resources and their assignments
- Communicate, support, and empower the team to do their best every single day and provide performance feedback and coaching on a regular basis to each team member.
- Give careful consideration to helping our team ensure that quality, time to market, and cost objectives are consistently achieved.
- Foster professional development, team-building, and training
- Collaborate closely with leadership, development, PM, design, and customer-facing team members to ensure quality standards are being met and identify any problem areas that may affect the development process.
- Work with the engineering team to guide their test case development at various levels of testing: unit, integration, end to end, visual, etc.
- Cultivate excellent relationships with key stakeholders and manage their expectations effectively.
- Contribute to department and company initiatives.
Product Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with company goals.
- Lead and manage the QA manual, keeping that aligned with client needs and evolving priorities
- Set quality standards, determine metrics, and evaluate execution.
- Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the QA process.
- Oversee the translation of manual test cases into requirements for automated test cases.
- Manage systems for tracking issues and bugs throughout the process.
- Identify new techniques and tools introduced into the marketplace for automated testing and experimenting with their effectiveness.
- Review test runs & investigate failed test cases.
- Manage overall QA delivery for web projects and initiatives with a willingness to support end-to-end testing as required
- Manage multiple projects at once, often at different stages of the project lifecycle.
- Ongoing day-to-day QA testing responsibilities for our projects
- Improvement of our QA process including additional use of automation tools
- Oversight, management, and configuration of TestRail and other QA tools as needed

Essential Skills
- Manual testing and automated testing experience.
- Prior Ticketing Industry (or similar field) experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Advanced programming skills including automation systems and databases.
- Understanding of SQL database queries/updates/deletes.
- Experience with physical equipment testing.
- Experience working on projects related to eCommerce would be a plus.
- You will have a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a QA Manager or similar role at an agency, consulting firm, or technology firm, with five or more years of relevant experience working in software QA..
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines at a time.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
