Operations Manager
Are you an organizer, problem-solver, and people person? RE!NSTITUTE is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team and manage our internal policies and procedures related to Human Resources (HR), Financial Management, People Operations, Platforms, Board Support, and Organizational Compliance.

What you will be doing:
- HR (15%) - You will manage and improve processes related to recruitment, hiring, and onboarding; staff benefits, documentation of HR policies, employee handbook review, and maintaining a relationship with RE!NSTITUTE’s PEO
- Financial Management (40%) - Collaborate with our outsourced accounting team to manage budgets, oversee accounts payable and receivable, administer payroll and retirement benefits, and review and approve credit card and reimbursement reports. You will also help with the annual audit, process mail, and deposit checks.
- People Operations (15%) - Improve and expand key people-related operations processes and tools to support the team, such as accountability conversations, feedback processes, staff development, and monthly pulse checks
- Platform Management (15%) - Manage RE!NSTITUTE’s subscriptions for organization-wide platforms and troubleshooting for platforms. Conduct an annual review of platforms to create a platform budget, and renew, update, or research more effective tools when needed
- Board Support (10%) - Supporting the CEO and Board of Directors in organizing and documenting board packets, board meeting minutes, Board recruitment, and annual Board compliance processes.
- Organizational Compliance (5%) - Review an annual organizational compliance checklist with guidelines for non-profit compliance organizations. Renew annual state registrations and update external profiles reporting on the organization’s finances, programs, policies, and procedures annually.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- At least 3 years of experience managing human resources, compliance, and/or internal operations for a nonprofit;
- Basic bookkeeping skills and experience;
- Attention to detail and organized self-starter with excellent time management skills;
- Ability to work as part of a team and with staff in different locations across several time zones;
- Problem-solving, creating, and trying new processes, procedures, and platforms to support the needs of our team;
- Researching, learning, and presenting on best practices as new projects come up;
- Organizational skills to support the team to best organize internal platforms and documentation;
- Familiarity with platform technology or ability to quickly learn skills to support the team with the following platforms: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Excel, Slack, Small Improvements, Expensify, Navan, Bill.com, and Intacct, amongst other platforms
