Beyond Petrochemicals: People Over Pollution is seeking an Operations Associate to support the Beyond Petrochemicals Team in administrative, grantmaking, and program functions. The Operations Associate manages the day-to-day administrative function of the campaign to ensure that Beyond Petrochemicals runs smoothly. The Operations Associate also organizes and ensures a successful full grant lifecycle for all grantees and/or partnering organizations, ensuring that grantees are supported and needs are addressed in effort to help stop the petrochemical industry buildout. This position will report to the Operations Director.
Beyond Petrochemicals will transform the US industrial sector, ensuring more local victories in the transition to a clean economy, supporting laws that protect communities from harm, and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions that are fueling the climate crisis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage team operations by maintaining information systems, including training staff on software, project management systems, and other processes to facilitate workflow.
- Manage program timeline(s) and documents relating to grant proposals, grantee reporting, and quarterly board meetings in coordination with the Operations Director and Grants Manager.
- Maintain grantee and contract data in Beyond Petrochemicals’ tracking systems to ensure grantee information is complete and up to date. Prepare reports and summaries as needed.
- Oversee meeting scheduling and document preparation for grantee meetings and tracking program needs from the RLF Finance & Administration team.
- Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings, writing and editing emails, drafting documents, and preparing documents and/or presentations on the team’s behalf.
- Oversee expenses and reimbursements systems, supporting team members in completing their monthly reports as needed.
- Coordinate procurement and office orders.

Strong candidates will offer:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of nonprofit programs preferred
- Masterful organizational, communication, written and leadership skills

LOCATION
Remote with East Coast hours strongly preferred. Ability to travel as needed, at minimum quarterly.
Benefits
Salary range is 65,000 - 75,000 per year, commensurate with experience. RLF offers an alternate Fridays off work schedule (employees work 40 hours one week, 32 hours the next week) and a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k plan with a 5% match, and generous paid time off.
