About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Business Partner with expertise in international employment law to join our dynamic HR team. This role will serve as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing expert guidance on HR practices, compliance, and international employment regulations. This position would support acquired WM Partners' companies such as Allergy Research Group & Primal Harvest with international responsibility.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver HR support to employees and managers and enhance programs: including; compensation, benefits, payroll and leave, immigration filings, HRIS, employee relations, talent management, rewards and recognition, training and development
- Ensure accuracy of employee records to ensure the accurate maintenance, updating and auditing of manual and electronic employee records
- Support M&A activities focused on stabilization, integration, cultural alignment, and employee experience
- Provide coaching and guidance on HR related matters to managers and employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance
- Headcount management and planning for new functions, incremental staff or backfills
- Facilitate and support initiatives which will be administered centrally: performance reviews, merit, bonus, mid-year check ins, etc.
- Collaborates with leaders in developing onboarding plans to ensure a successful 30-60-90-day approach and thoughtful introduction to the organization, team and role
- Facilitate onboarding, new hire orientation, and offboarding processes for employees
- Meet regularly with business leaders to understand their needs and challenges and develop HR solutions to address them
- Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Support initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, Organization Development or a related field
- 6+ years of progressive HR generalist and leadership experience, with a focus on employee relations and investigations, engagement, talent management, and organizational development
- 2+ years international/multi-country HR experience navigating employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices
- European Union HR experience required with expertise in International Contracts & Employee of Record
- Experience in M&A integrations with experience in supporting synergies
- Thorough understanding of labor issues including FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and Leaves of Absence
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex HR projects and initiatives in a dynamic, multi-state environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate within various levels of the organization with exceptional leadership and relationship building skills
- A self-motivated individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and thrives in as a leader influencing change and transformation
- Credible and savvy business partner who will be perceived as a trusted consultant and functional expert to management
- Proficiency in HRIS system and MS Office Suite
- PHR, SPHR or SHRM certifications strongly desired
- Fluency in English is required and proficiency in at least one other language is desired
- International travel may be required on occasion
