We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive to join our sales team and drive growth in the media sports sector. 

 

As an Enterprise Account Executive at Wowza, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth by prospecting and closing new enterprise-level customers, with a particular focus on Media Sports organizations, sports teams and leagues, and sports content organizations. Your role will involve working closely with marketing and customer success teams to identify and qualify leads, develop relationships with key decision-makers, and create and execute sales strategies that meet or exceed sales targets. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within target enterprise accounts, focusing on high-value prospects in the sports industry. 
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the needs of Media Sports organizations, to achieve and exceed revenue targets. 
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within enterprise accounts, particularly in sports teams, leagues, and content organizations. 
  • Solution Selling: Present and articulate the value proposition of Wowza’s products/services, tailoring solutions to meet the specific needs of sports-focused clients. 
  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead contract negotiations and close deals that align with company goals and ensure customer satisfaction, with a focus on sports industry clients. 
  • Pipeline Management: Manage and maintain a robust sales pipeline, tracking all sales activities and opportunities using CRM tools. 
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics within the sports sector to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product, and customer success, to ensure seamless client onboarding and long-term success. 
  • Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and updates to senior management, highlighting key metrics and progress toward goals, with insights specific to the sports vertical. 

Requirements

About You: 

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise sales, with a focus on new business development and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets. 
  • 2+ years of experience selling SaaS software products. 
  • Subject matter expertise in Media Sports organizations, sports teams and leagues, and sports content organizations. 
  • The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new products and technologies. 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade C-level executives. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to meet client needs. 
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) for managing sales pipelines and tracking customer interactions. 
  • Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive to achieve and exceed goals. 
  • Proficient at using internal resources and working in a team environment. 

Preferred Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Experience working within the video streaming industry. 
  • A strong network within the sports industry, particularly with sports teams, leagues, and content organizations. 

Benefits

Salary: $150,000-$175,000 base

Commission eligible

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of our salary range for this position. Actual salaries and benefits will vary and will be based on a range of factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. The salary is one component of our total compensation package for employees.
