About the Role

The newly created Director of Marketing role is responsible for executing the marketing plan to ensure we reach our growth and engagement goals. They will be responsible for overseeing multiple marketing channels, including paid acquisition, owned, lifecycle, affiliate, events, and talent/influencers. Not only are they able to develop high level strategies, they should also be able to execute on them, and continuously optimize strategies in real time. This person should be well versed in a variety of marketing tactics at a senior level. They should have experience operating within or managing multiple marketing divisions. They should also have a strong track record of developing and growing marketing programs that are metrics focused, in addition to having a high standard for brand marketing and brand building.

This person should be data and insights driven, quick to experiment, a creative thinker, and be biased towards action. They should also have the skillset to mentor and guide junior teammates in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development of marketing initiatives that increase revenue 
  • Develop campaigns and strategies around key cultural moments throughout the year
  • Manage the marketing budget strategically, driving sustainable growth and optimizing spending to achieve maximum ROI 
  • Evaluate and develop our paid acquisition strategy globally, across multiple channels (App Store, Social, SEO, Google Search, etc.)
  • Develop a lifecycle strategy to maximize retention 
  • Oversee and build a social media influencer/affiliate strategy 
  • Develop and implement a rigorous test and learn approach and roadmap to measure and optimize online and offline campaigns
  • Ensure continued growth of programs and performance improvement
  • Identify and test new channels for growth

Requirements

  • You will have many years of experience within marketing and will have held a few significant roles for a few years' each.
  • You will have a broad background within marketing and a focus at some point in brand marketing and strategy for consumer focused companies
  • Experience in overseeing multiple marketing channels including paid acquisition, lifecycle, affiliate, events and influencer/talent partnerships 
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns that drive revenue growth and brand awareness 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management
