Full Job Description
Installation Made Easy (“IME”) provides software and process management that enable retailers and contractors to offer installed home improvements to homeowners in a convenient, consistent, and affordable manner. IME senior management has over 100 years of retail management and home improvement industry experience.
We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to join our growing company. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive projects across the organization to completion, but also through day-to-day tactical management of the business. The Director of Business Development will oversee development, planning and implementation of new initiatives and home improvement programs. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining ongoing relationships with retail partners and manufacturers of responsibility.
The Director of Business Development will have frequent interaction with all departments as well as senior and executive level management. This position is highly visible and can have a huge impact on the company’s success very quickly.
The ideal candidate for this role must be an excellent communicator and should be comfortable interfacing with all levels of an organization and be able to handle stressful situations with calm and grace.
Additionally, this role is to be a leader of the team and strive to improve employee performance and satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
• Work with VP of Business Development to discuss and execute strategic planning for the business
• Oversee and coordinate development of new programs
• Develop and implement plans and objectives for the program in an effective and innovative approach
• Oversee and manage Program Development Managers
• Produce reports, timelines, and graphics to communicate expectations and progress to management, clients, and other relevant parties.
• Work as liaison between the business and development on all new programs.
• Maintain internal projects records and track project status.
• Conduct product demos for new programs.
• Work with other departments to gather requirements for projects, track daily status for all projects, and collaborate with other departments for project implementation.
• Work with Operations teams for all retail partners to provide analytic support.
• Work with retail partners and affiliates to identify and correct any software bugs.
• Write development requirements.
• Coordinate with manufacturing partners to provide assets and copy to marketing team for marketing email blasts.
• Maintain regular communication with Operations teams to ensure they are informed of new programs and features.
• Build relationships with retail partners, manufacturing partners, and affiliates through regularly scheduled meetings.
• Analyze internal processes and make suggestions for rapid process improvement.
• Perform other duties as required.
The Director of Business Development may be asked to perform additional tasks that are not listed above. In addition, the list of primary responsibilities may change over time.

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration
• Experience in business development role, including experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Thorough understanding of customer and Retailer management platforms
• Proven track record of ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and to drive projects to completion.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Diligent, proactive and results-driven personality
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with proven track record of meeting or beating deadlines.
• Ability to prepare and present clear, concise and presentable reports to executive level management.
