Who They’re Looking For

They are seeking a highly experienced Director to join their consulting team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in the K12 education sector or finance/operations, and deep contextual knowledge in at least one of these areas. This role involves leading significant project workstreams and at least one project independently, while taking responsibility for strategic guidance, business development, project management, and client relationship management.

This individual will play a key role in shaping strategy, leading adaptive change initiatives, and contributing original thinking to achieve organizational goals. Advanced consulting skills, the ability to manage complex client engagements, and strong leadership capabilities are essential for success in this role.

You Will Be a Great Fit for This Role If You Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced project management skills, capable of overseeing multiple complex workstreams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership and Guidance

  • Lead specific project workstreams, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational goals.
  • Independently manage at least one client project, prioritizing areas and workstreams.
  • Provide strategic guidance and candid feedback to support team growth and development.
  • Foster a resilient and innovative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and improvement.

Business Development

  • Play a key role in proposal development, lead generation, and opportunity identification.
  • Contribute to strategic business planning and drive the development of new mission-aligned projects.

Project Management

  • Oversee the creation of high-quality, client-ready deliverables from ideation to completion.
  • Lead multiple complex workstreams, providing strategic direction and oversight.
  • Consistently meet or exceed goals and timelines for product or service delivery.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain high-level client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and thought partner.
  • Understand and anticipate client needs, providing reliable and expert guidance.
  • Establish and expand relationships within client organizations.

Technical Expertise

  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge in K12 education or finance/operations, applying this expertise to drive client success.
  • Identify and mitigate client or technical risks by implementing effective solutions.

Team Development and Mentorship

  • Mentor and guide team members in proposal management and business development activities.
  • Foster a collaborative and engaging environment, acting as a role model for colleagues.

Organizational Contribution

  • Lead or participate in company initiatives, including DEI efforts, recruiting, and thought leadership activities.
  • Serve as a thought leader in K12 education or finance/operations best practices.

Job Type

This is a full-time opportunity.

Location and Travel

This is a remote position, as the organization operates virtually. Travel may be required based on client needs.

About You

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in consulting, project management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leading complex projects and managing teams.
