POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic advisor and confidant to the [COO] and the senior management team. This role is instrumental in driving cross-functional collaboration, managing key projects, and ensuring that the leadership team is both effective and efficient in leading the organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, along with the ability to manage complex situations with discretion and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with leadership to identify roadblocks and operational bottlenecks, and implement solutions that drive operational excellence, and the executive team to focus on high-leverage activities.
- Be an advisor to the COO and leadership teams, serve as a trusted sounding board on strategy and operations, and ensure effective communication and decision-making. Help develop team charters, surface issues and roadblocks early, understand complex issues, and recommend solutions while maintaining objectivity.
- Prepare and present results in Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews and ongoing business reporting.
- Identify key partners, ensure alignment, and collaborate with them at all levels of the organization to foster a culture of transparency and accountability and promote open communication.
- Plan and facilitate cross-functional meetings, leadership meetings, and off-sites. Formulate topics, build and advise agendas, guide discussions, compile notes and action items, and follow up as appropriate.
- Design and refine cross-functional processes to boost organizational agility, performance, and operational excellence. Manage operating models to ensure the team has the proper structure, accountabilities, and governance. Drive change management practices to support the organization.
- Be a culture champion and actively support and promote the organization’s values and mission with all team members.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand team structures, career paths, and performance metrics to foster team growth and unity.
- Prepare, synthesize, and deliver reports to C-level leaders, highlighting key initiatives, insights, and strategic recommendations.
- Maintain a forward-looking perspective, anticipating operational needs and proposing proactive solutions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional projects and initiatives
- High level of business acumen
- Collaborative, facilitative leader with a drive for decisive results.
- Ability to balance and influence multiple competing priorities, and prioritize key initiatives
- Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and quantitative solid aptitude
- PMP certification
