With a strong commitment to innovation, we are launching a new line of products focused on digital solutions to enable Track, Trace, and Tamper (3T) data to be communicated in real time for faster decision making. These products will be launched in our Digital Products Business Segment.

Objective:

This position is responsible for increasing the revenue generated by the Digital Products Business Segment. The main focus of the role will be on selling digital products (both hardware and software) to strategic customers and potential clients, as well as managing customer trials and collecting feedback to better define the value propositions for different market segments.

A successful candidate must possess extensive knowledge and experience in the field of IoT, encompassing the market for connected devices and smart devices, including hardware devices and SaaS solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement an extensive strategy for business development that will facilitate rapid growth in multiple target markets.
  • Actively seek and secure new business opportunities by generating sales for connected solutions.
  • Identify and pursue potential prospects in specific industries, such as transportation, freight, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and food and beverage.
  • Lead clients throughout the entire sales process, from initial contact and negotiations to contract/purchase order and project kick-off.
  • Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and return on investment of our digital solutions to potential clients, utilizing persuasive communication skills to encourage adoption.
  • Enhance and cultivate relationships with existing customers, offering them our digital solutions.
  • Analyze customer motivations and validate assumptions to identify valuable opportunities.
  • Organize and preside over customer meetings at all stages of the sales cycle to advocate for our solutions and gain support from key stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Provide feedback to the Digital Products team, including customer insights, competitive intelligence, pricing strategy, and emerging trends/requirements.
  • Keep an active pipeline of opportunities in the CRM system, maintaining up-to-date documentation and reporting.
  • Regularly submit reports and updates to senior management regarding business development activities and progress.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product development and marketing, to align business development efforts with company objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Skills

  • Proven track record of independently acquiring new customers and using consultative selling techniques for medium to large, reputable clients.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and a strong commitment to providing customers with innovative solutions. The ability to deliver effective presentations in person and through teleconferencing / videoconferencing is essential.
  • Highly motivated and driven to make a significant impact for both our customers and our business.
  • Experience in IoT, connected devices, or SaaS.
  • Familiarity with the security seal industry or related fields.
  • Knowledge of process automation, traceability, and condition monitoring technologies.
  • Understanding of industry-specific regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong ability to build strategic client relationships, promote loyalty, and ensure retention.
  • Proactive attitude, curiosity, accountability, and persistence in achieving objectives.
  • Unwavering focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. technology, sales, marketing); an MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 7 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in sales and business development roles.
  • Industry experience directly related to sales of IoT, connected/smart devices and SaaS.
  • Ability to travel more than 50% of the time consistently.
  • Remote position, with a preference for candidates located in the greater Atlanta, GA area.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
