Full Job Description
Community Hospital Corporation (CHC), a DFW Top 100 Employer, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to work under the Director of Payroll Services. This position processes payroll for assigned hospitals; is responsible for the implementation of the UltiPro payroll system at start-up hospitals; maintains payroll information in the automated payroll system and generates reports as needed.
This is an exciting onsite role at our beautiful corporate offices located in Plano between Legacy West and Grandscape. Major Responsibilities include:
- Process and submit payroll for all assigned facilities
- Excels at swiftly and accurately inputting all employee maintenance data such as new hires, terminations, increases, transfers, etc.
- Work with facilities to assure the accuracy of each payroll
- Actively involved in the implementation of UltiPro payroll system at new and start-up hospitals
- Provide support and/or assistance to facilities as needed
- Balance payroll for all assigned facilities
- Generates Payroll reports as needed
- Organizes hours and input for weekly Productivity Reports
- Balances and approves the process of all W-2s & W-3s
- Balances and approves the process of all Quarterly Payroll Reports
- Performs research projects as requested
General Duties:
- Represent Community Hospital Corporation at designated meetings.
- Upholds and supports the company’s mission, goals, and objectives.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/Experience
- High school diploma (or equivalent), some college preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in payroll processing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
- Experience with UKG, Ultipro and/or Dimensions
Skills and Knowledge
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize payroll fundamentals
- Ability to utilize a sophisticated automated payroll system
- Ability to maintain the integrity of payroll information in a confidential manner
- Ability to understand level of importance of any payroll issue
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to produce quality results
- Ability to be trustworthy
- Ability to communicate and relate well with multiple audiences openly, respectfully, and in timely way
- Ability to work with all levels of management and staff and respecting all differences
- Ability to identify and resolve operational and administrative problems

- Possess proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite of programs and sophisticated automated payroll systems
