Whip Around is a growing SaaS scale up and emerging leader in the fleet technology arena. With offices across the United States and New Zealand, our product helps fleet operators easily manage the maintenance and inspections of their vehicles. Taking the industry through a digital transformation, Whip Around is quickly becoming the software platform of choice for business owners, fleet managers and drivers.

What’s the opportunity?

We’re building our Charlotte, NC Growth team and we are looking for driven, coachable, outbound-focused BDRs. This is a special opportunity for someone who wants to be part of something great!

This is generally an in-office role. We’re located in South Park, Charlotte.

What success will look like

You’ll successfully develop new sales opportunities through outbound calling companies of all sizes in the US market. You'll work to build relationships, schedule appointments for potential customers to view our application over the web and generate sales qualified leads. You will also work closely with the Director of Business Development to ideate, experiment and execute on new initiatives designed to advance our sales organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage an outbound SMB and mid-market sales pipeline
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to generate demand primarily via outbound teleprospecting
  • Identify and understand the pain points of customers.
  • Navigate the prospect’s organization, identify and involve key business stakeholders, and deliver value
  • Process inbound inquiries and monitor account signals and determine/execute subsequent actions
  • Identify and set qualified demo appointments for our Account Executive team
  • Bring innovative ideas and solutions that address the obstacles to our growth
  • Use a variety of sales technology tools such as Salesforce and Salesloft
  • Build a healthy pipeline of sales-qualified leads and demo opportunities
  • Have conversations with prospects that uncover new opportunities for Whip Around
  • Engage contacts via phone, email and social.  Omni channel, multi touch approach
  • Handle our prospects’ objections and concerns regarding the product

What you’ll bring to the role

  • 1 - 2 years experience in a cold-calling sales role
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and confident hunter’s mentality
  • A positive, assertive, and magnetic personality
  • An open mind to self-improvement through feedback and coaching
  • A sense of purpose, and an urgency to achieve it
  • The ability to be receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embrace continuous improvement.
  • Time management skills
  • Exceptional consultative selling, verbal and written communication and influence ability
  • Build rapport with prospects, including senior level.
  • Ability to recognize the right people to target and engage within
  • Understanding of how to monitor and reach target accounts
  • Fleet industry experience and an understanding of the transportation sector is a plus
  • Adaptable and open mindset
