Job Status: This is a Full-Time Non-Exempt/Hourly position.
Reports to: Director of Finance

Compensation: Up to $63,000/year

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Prepare monthly general ledger, account reconciliations, and monthly journal entries.
• Review monthly general ledger reports for accuracy and completeness and ensure expenses and cash are paid.
• Maintain and record all prepaid transactions and tracking balances.
• Prepare monthly vouchers for grant related activities.
• Complete and submit the County Congregate Care 2 vouchers.
• Assist with the month-end and year-end closing process.
• Integral in CFR process and submission.
• Reconcile specific accounts on a monthly basis to include the general fund cash account, the client fund cash account and food stamp cash accounts.
• Perform the necessary accounting entries for payroll and reconciliation of accounts related to payroll (expense, liability).
• Assist with various audits including the annual workers' compensation and disability audits.
• Assist the Director of Finance with the monthly electronic health record accounts receivable report and with the financial analysis.
• Responsible for the Asset Management program; creating labels for all assets and affixing them to the corresponding asset; creating and entering monthly depreciation entry.
• Ensure adherence to Agency policies and procedures. In conjunction with the Director of Finance, review current systems for efficiency and develop systems for those areas of need.
• Maintain knowledge of Fund EZ accounting package and electronic health record billing systems.
• Willing to cross train with colleagues for staffing coverages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting preferred. Associate's Degree and work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
• Experience: Minimum two years’ experience in the accounting field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Specific Requirements: Familiarity with accounting software packages, and the ability and willingness to learn new systems.
