Full Job Description
- Account Management & Growth:
- Conduct regular visits to retailers to ensure optimal brand presence and performance.
- Organize budtender gifting and provide food for retail staff to foster strong relationships.
- Evaluate and enhance in-store presence, including setting up eye-catching retailer displays.
- Lead in-store education sessions for retail staff, increasing product knowledge and advocacy.
- Engage in meals and entertainment activities to build personal relationships with key buyers and stakeholders.
- Implement cross-selling strategies to encourage the purchase of multiple brands and product lines.
- Execute upselling techniques, utilizing discounts and incentives to secure higher value orders.
- Territory Management: Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base within the assigned territory.
- Direct Sales: Engage in direct sales activities, including product pitching and sampling to potential retail accounts, to secure new business.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships, understanding their needs and proposing solutions that meet these needs.
- Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback and market intelligence, and relay this information to the product development team for continuous product improvement.
- Sales Forecasting: Accurately forecast sales predictions and ensure they align with business goals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted strategies for the territory, including trade shows, promotional events, and other marketing activities.
- Retail Partnership Development: Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with new and existing retail partners to expand market reach and sales volumes.
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Execute sales strategies that align with company goals, including promotional campaigns, cross-selling, and upselling to maximize revenue.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth within the retail sector.
- Product Training and Support: Provide comprehensive product training and ongoing support to retail staff, ensuring they are equipped to sell effectively.
Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the performance of retail accounts, utilizing data to drive decision-making and strategy adjustments.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Must live in NY state and have a working vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record as a Regional Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role, with a focus on account management and growth.
- Strong understanding of sales strategies, market dynamics, and customer engagement tactics.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key business partners and customers.
- Proficiency in sales and administrative software tools and systems.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
