Full Job Description

As a Sales Executive at Industrial Color, you play a pivotal role in generating revenue by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and promoting our services to prospects. You work closely with our creative and production teams to understand our capabilities and tailor solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Candidates must possess a solid network, and successful track record selling creative production services to a range of creative departments, agencies, creatives and brands, and possess a high-end appreciation of art, photography, video, creative tech, fashion, beauty and luxury that resonates with high-end prospects. We currently operate in a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week onsite at our studios in Tribeca.

Responsibilities

  • Active outbound list generation and prospecting
  • Conduct research to identify key decision-makers for prospecting and understand their needs, challenges, and priorities
  • Prospect, qualify, and generate new leads through various channels such as networking events, cold calling, email campaigns, Linkedin, and social media channels and events.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales Operations teams to execute on company marketing and lead gen campaigns and programs
  • Sales pipeline management and reporting using Salesforce
  • Respond to inbound prospects, RFPs and bids as applicable
  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop customized proposals and presentations that effectively showcase our capabilities and address client objectives.
  • Partner with internal cross marketing teams and affiliate brands to cross sell services
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and support throughout the sales process.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas by effectively managing and pursuing sales pipelines, prioritizing opportunities, and closing accounts.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent Industrial Color at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our brand and grow our network within the creative production industry.

Skills & Competencies

  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the creative production industry, including trends, technologies, and client needs. Familiarity with various creative mediums such as photography, film, animation, digital content creation and new tech such as AI.
  • Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in B2B sales, within the creative production industry or a related field.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and presentation skills including the ability to create winning presentation decks.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients are essential, establishing trust, understanding of client’s needs, and providing tailored solutions to meet those needs.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms and agreements with clients while maintaining profitability for the company.
  • Self-Motivation: A proactive and self-driven approach to sales, with the ability to work independently and take initiative in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Creative problem-solving skills to address client challenges and develop innovative solutions that align with their goals and objectives.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM software and other sales tools for managing leads, tracking sales activities, and generating reports.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, client requirements, and company priorities. Sales Executives should be able to pivot strategies and tactics as needed to achieve sales targets.
  • Passion for Creativity: A genuine interest in and enthusiasm for the creative process, along with a passion for helping clients bring their creative visions to life through the company's services.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in creative production sales with a solid network and successful track record selling creative production services
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field ideal
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to persuade and influence others.
  • Team player - collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment
  • High degree of professionalism - maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Salesforce experience a plus
  • Willingness to travel if needed (less than 10% of the time)

Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 annually, plus commission. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience, and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
