itselectric is a Brooklyn-based start up that has been named as one of the products that will define technological innovation for the rest of this decade and beyond.

Reporting to the COO, the Operations Manager serves as our mission control, establishing and formalizing processes for both our business and our customer operations that live both front and back of house. Ensuring these are easy, repeatable, and imminently scalable.  We are seeking a methodical leader who is committed to leading it’s electric’s operations across two spheres:

1/ Customer Operations

Here the Operations Manager will review and evolve the current systems for optimization across the customer journey in both the physical and digital realms. As our systems are already in active use; the role will focus on how to improve, track, and scale core customer activities on a national scale across private, fleet, and rideshare driver cohorts. 

Our core customer activities for drivers are defined as:

  • Local Charger Awareness
  • Customer Acquisition
  • RFID Card and Charging Cable Requests (Stock and Distributions)
  • Account Management / Customer Success 

Our core customer activities for partner properties are defined as:

  • Communications
  • Contracting
  • Payments

As this will require management not only of demand but of supply, you’ll ensure our operations are automated to run smoothly and that our customers have an incredible experience from the moment they learn of it’s electric.  Lastly you will work closely with the founders to develop a long-term vision and roadmap for the customer platform.

2/ Business Operations

The second sphere of work is directly supporting the COO in the growth of the company’s operations across (6) locations: New York, Boston, Detroit, DC Metro, Los Angeles, and the Bay Area. Here you will not only support day-to-day back of house operations but also work to optimize processes aimed at enhancing our operational efficiency and scalability. 

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of one of the most promising climate start-ups working in a rapidly expanding industry.

Requirements

This is a bespoke role that requires a hybridized background. Strong candidates will have a minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in operations and project management with additional experience in either strategy, marketing, and/or customer experience. Logistics, user research, product management and customer service backgrounds can also be of service to this role. 

The work is summarized by big-picture thinking combined with a hands on ability to execute across a variety of systems and platforms.

Candidates will have: 

-Excellent organizational, planning, and management and implementing skills. 

-Advanced level skill across Excel, Airtable, Hubspot, Pipedrive and other CRM based tools.

-Experience managing contractors, and consultants creating and adhering to project schedules.

-Experience managing vendor relationships to ensure smooth procurement and fulfillment.

-Wearing of the "operations hat" and tackling any challenge that comes your way, from vendor contracts to travel arrangements.

-Willingness to be adaptable and collaborative, anticipating nonlinear processes, and managing multiple competing priorities.

-Candidates will develop and deploy solutions in collaboration with our platform, supplier, and courier partners. 

-Candidates will have a knack for project management and streamlining processes for maximum efficiency.

-Candidates will have clear and concise communication (hard stop)

-Candidates will embrace the challenges of a startup environment and be eager to jump in and make a real impact.

(Experience deploying EV charging is not a requirement)

Ideal candidates will be able to work in-person four days a week at itselectric’s offices at Newlab in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

Compensation for this position includes salary ranging $90,000-120,000 depending on experience and qualifications, full health coverage, paid time off, and meaningful equity options.
