Cleantec, a Central New York based facilities services company, seeks an exceptional Area Manager for Janitorial and Facility Services in the Syracuse area. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing operations and leading teams. Since 1975, Cleantec has maintained a reputation for delivering outstanding facility maintenance, janitorial, and special project services to Fortune 500 companies, banks, medical facilities, government agencies, and national retailers.

We welcome applicants with relevant management experience in other industries, including restaurants and logistics.

Salary

$70,000 - $75,000 annual, plus quarterly performance bonuses

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day facility operation and project management.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure their requirements and needs are met.
  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development of supervisors and front-line staff.
  • Ensure that all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
  • Adherence to operational budgets is crucial for meeting the financial obligations of the organization and ensuring compliance.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of service providers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality service and effective resolution of complaints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing operations and leading teams.
  • Experience in supervising, mentoring, and training staff and teams.
  • Knowledge of safety and risk management techniques and principles.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business and project management software.
