Full Job Description

At Kinematica, we are looking for a Help Desk Specialist to join our team. As a Help Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our internal employees. This is a critical role in ensuring that our employees have the necessary tools and resources to perform their job effectively.

You will be the first point of contact for any IT-related issues and will play a crucial role in resolving technical problems in a timely manner. Your exceptional customer service skills, along with your strong technical knowledge, will enable you to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues. In addition to providing technical support, you will also be responsible for maintaining and updating the company's knowledge base and documentation.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to employees in person, over the phone, or through email
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex issues to the appropriate team if necessary
  • Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems
  • Identify and recommend improvements to streamline help desk processes
  • Create and maintain documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Perform routine system maintenance and upgrades
  • Assist with the onboarding and offboarding process for employees, including setting up new accounts and removing access for departing employees

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
  • Proven experience as a Help Desk Specialist or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with help desk software and remote desktop tools
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to provide exceptional support experience
