As we continuously drive for growth and plan to expand our team, we are looking for a highly driven and achievement-orientated Business Development Manager to be part of our team.
The Role
Based in New York City, the Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in driving B2B and B2C growth in close collaboration with strategic reseller partners. This is a critical position to further evolve and mature our valuable reseller relationships to drive for mutual gains and efficiency.
You will be overseeing a very significant part of the North American market, handling a diverse range of responsibilities including managing reseller partnerships from an account management outset, driving growth with partners, supporting with demand-generating initiatives and creating new business opportunities.
The role is reporting to the Commercial Director North America, and you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams primarily based out of Europe.
What you will do
- Growth Leadership: Develop and execute commercial strategies to meet or exceed growth targets targeting enterprise customers (B2B) and individual freelance photographers (B2C). Identify new revenue streams and optimize existing ones. Managing pipelines and forecasting.
- Negotiation & Communication: Manage pricing and revenue negotiations and overall reseller account responsible involving multiple stakeholders internally and externally in the communication.
- Partnership Management: Build and maintain long-term, value-creating relationships with key B2B and B2C resellers to drive annual recurring revenue (ARR) and customer acquisition, while ensuring high levels of partner and customer satisfaction.
- Demand-creation: Close collaboration with Marketing formulating and executing local initiatives to drive awareness and customer acquisition. This includes, but is not limited to, support on developing joint marketing plans that boost Capture One’s in-store and digital presence.
- Reporting & Analytics: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and other critical metrics. Utilize data to make informed decisions and adjust strategies as necessary.
- Insight Sharing: Share key customer and product insights and feedback to the leadership and product teams to inform broader business decisions and initiatives.
What we are looking for
- Proven Sales Experience: Extensive experience in BD and account management, with a track record of exceeding targets. This encompasses both the ability to successfully build and manage commercially viable partnerships and drive B2B growth from A-Z.
- Demand-creation Acumen: Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute effective demand-creation strategies targeting B2B as well as B2C customers embedding ROI considerations.
- International Exposure: Experience working in international settings and with scale ups, preferably within SaaS technology.
- Adaptability: Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a proactive approach to taking and applying feedback for continuous improvement.
- Technological Proficiency: Skilled in using various tools and technologies to streamline operations and enhance productivity, i.e. HubSpot as the CRM tool applied.
- Collaboration: Enjoyment of working in diverse, hybrid teams across different time zones, with a strong commitment to building relationships while driving results.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with photography is advantageous but not essential.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel 20-30% during peak periods.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $120.000 – $150.000 including commissions.
