Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President of Continuous Improvement. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Continuous Improvement will play a critical role in driving organizational excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness while keeping a person- centered focus. This position will lead the development and implementation of strategies, processes, and initiatives to optimize our operations, enhance service delivery, and maximize outcomes for individuals with disabilities through compliance, training and accreditations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement framework aligned with the organization's mission, vision, and strategic goals.
- Lead training and compliance teams as well as cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, analyze processes, and develop action plans to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure progress, track performance, and drive accountability across the organization.
- Oversee and/or conduct regular reviews and assessments of programs, services, and operations to identify opportunities for innovation and optimization.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to streamline workflows, eliminate waste, and standardize best practices across the organization.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation through the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) Accreditation reviews and planning.
- Foster partnerships and collaborations with external stakeholders, industry experts, and peer organizations to leverage best practices and stay abreast of emerging trends in the field.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of continuous improvement initiatives, making adjustments as needed to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for senior leadership and the board of directors on the progress and outcomes of continuous improvement efforts.
- Serve as a thought leader and advocate for continuous improvement within the organization and the broader disability community.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, organizational development, public administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in organizational development, process improvement, or related fields, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing continuous improvement initiatives in complex organizations, preferably within the nonprofit sector or disability services field.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically, identify opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to enhance organizational performance.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing demands, manage resources effectively, and drive results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build consensus, influence stakeholders, and inspire teams to embrace change.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility, with an understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.
