Full Job Description
MedWin Publishers is seeking a highly motivated Payroll Accountant to join our team. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees, and maintaining payroll records.
Responsibilities
- Process and issue payroll checks, direct deposits, and electronic transfers to employees
- Calculate and input employee hours, wages, and deductions into the payroll system
- Monitor and reconcile payroll tax liabilities, including federal, state, and local taxes
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and employees
- Review and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and withholdings
- Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll accounting
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
- Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
