Payroll Accountant

MedWin Publishers is seeking a highly motivated Payroll Accountant to join our team. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees, and maintaining payroll records.

Responsibilities

• Process and issue payroll checks, direct deposits, and electronic transfers to employees
• Calculate and input employee hours, wages, and deductions into the payroll system
• Monitor and reconcile payroll tax liabilities, including federal, state, and local taxes
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and employees
• Review and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and withholdings
• Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance with all applicable laws

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll accounting
• Strong knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and best practices
• Proficient in using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
