Full Job Description
M.S. Walker is looking for a math and data-minded Sales Administrator to provide support in the form of sales analysis and reporting to the management team, suppliers, and sales staff. Working with a team of administrators and analysts, you'll learn how to utilize M.S. Walker applications to source data and provide reporting to a variety of internal stakeholders. Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships throughout the organization will be as important as financial and numerical acumen. This role will have a hybrid schedule with a preference for candidates who are able to work in our Norwood, MA headquarters as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Daily, monthly & annual sales and financial reporting including, but not limited to, depletion reporting, incentive program resolution, depletion allowance reconciliation, sales forecasting, etc.
- Assist sales management, suppliers and sales reps with varied sales related tasks.
- Continuously monitor, audit and analyze pricing activity.
- Read, interpret and discuss pricing requests with Sales or Brand Managers to assure proper understanding of the exception and related pricing implications.
- Work with the Sales Administration team on the daily management of our Massachusetts focused local and national retail chain business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance or Business preferred, and 2-4 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel.
- Strategic thinker – demonstrates ability to see big picture, anticipate changes and impact on trends, asks what if questions, develops recommendations.
- Ability to apply mathematical skills for preparing and verifying pricing analysis with a strong attention to detail. This includes ability to calculate amounts such as commissions, discounts, percentages, and volume.
- Oral Communication - Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; participates in meetings.
- Written Communication – Writes clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar; varies writing style to meet needs; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
- Adaptability – Adapts to changes in the work environments; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation; able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Demonstrated ability to independently prepare sales and financial analysis with high degree of accuracy and within established deadlines.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Wine or spirits industry experience or related knowledge of three tier system, helpful but not required.
