Full Job Description
The Program Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Program Director to lead and support the Supportive Housing outreach team. This role focuses on empowering participants to achieve independence and integrate into the community. Using a strengths-based approach, the supervisor will mentor staff, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to excel in their roles. Responsibilities include overseeing service delivery, evaluating staff performance, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Design and monitor program services, including assessments, treatment plans, crisis interventions, and implementation strategies.
- Documentation Review: Ensure accuracy and completeness of all participant files, notes, reports, and medication records, adhering to proper procedures.
- Reporting: Prepare and maintain progress reports and HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) documentation. Ensure timely submission of required reports and handle program-related financial transactions.
- Staff Supervision: Oversee 5-10 staff members, explaining and enforcing policies and procedures. Train, develop, and evaluate staff performance, while addressing personnel matters as needed.
- Staffing Management: Maintain adequate staffing levels to minimize overtime while adhering to contractual requirements.
- Participant Health Management: Collaborate with healthcare providers to address participant health needs. Respond promptly to any incidents involving participants.
- Supervision Meetings: Conduct regular, documented supervision sessions focusing on staff needs and program matters. Facilitate effective team meetings.
- Housing Coordination: Work with the MHA Housing Specialist to assist participants with moves, ensuring that move-in checklists are completed.
- Community Engagement: Actively participate in community-based provider meetings relevant to the program.
- Training Participation: Attend all required training sessions within the designated orientation period.
- After-Hours Support: Participate in cluster management and after-hours on-call rotation as needed.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle with adequate insurance.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of program participants.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Minimum age of eighteen.
Qualifications:
- Management experience, particularly with individuals facing homelessness, mental health issues, substance use disorders, or trauma.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) and lived experience is a plus.
