Full Job Description
- On site, $22-$25 range. 30 hours a week.
- Administers the bi-weekly payroll cycle. Ensures accuracy, integrity, and timely completion for including but not limited to wages, benefits, withholdings, PTO, taxes, and timecard data. Adheres to DOL, Federal and State regulations.
- Verifies employee data in both in ADP, WFN and E-Time via payroll change forms and audit reports.
- Manage process of reviewing and exporting timecard data and PTO balances into WFN.
- Monitors the payroll system database for system integrity.
- Manage various benefit processes including but not limited to HSA, administration of the 403b, Tapcheck, etc.
- Proactively and collaboratively resolves issues with employees and other departments.
- Processes all Historical Edit Notifications (HENs) and other payroll corrections, as necessary.
- Prepares agency reporting, variance analysis, and data exports from ADP as needed.
- Maintains and updates payroll tables, calendars, schedules, NYCU updates, etc.
- Work with staff accountants on employee benefit reconciliation.
- Regularly facilitates effective communication with HR and Accounting teams. Enabling a positive rapport and partnership between payroll, HR, and accounting.
- Monitors and timely responds to all payroll emails and inquiries.
- Provides support to the accounting department as needed including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, cash receipts, bank deposits, etc. and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes and experience with mid-size payroll, 200+ employees
• ADP experience with WFN and Enhanced Time.
• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel user. Must be comfortable using VLOOKUP function and Pivot Tables.
• Propensity to organize and prioritize department workload to meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate calculation of wages, withholdings, etc. with employees.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, customer service, time-management, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Ability and willingness to work extra hours to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
