Eco Block is looking for a meticulous and driven Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial operations. Your primary responsibilities will include processing invoices, managing vendor relationships, and reconciling statements to maintain the financial integrity of our eco-friendly initiatives. Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment in accordance with company policies.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements to maintain accurate records.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and respond to inquiries regarding payments and accounts.
- Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing necessary reports and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial workflows.
- Support the implementation of systems and procedures to enhance accounts payable efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes that may impact accounts payable processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in financial documentation.
- Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Understanding of eco-friendly practices and a commitment to sustainability is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively across departments.
