Jupiter seeks to grow its team with the recruitment of a Compliance Associate to support our project commissioning and operations activity.

Key Responsibilities

·        Maintain evidence and documentation of compliance for applicable NERC Reliability Standards, ISO market rules, or other compliance requirements through data collection, analysis, and document organization.

·        Develop and maintain NERC and ISO-related programs, processes, and procedures.

·        Support onboarding compliance readiness efforts and periodic reporting for new projects.

·        Coordinate work assignments with internal subject matter experts and supervise deliverables among internal and external teams.

·        Support technical teams with training and continuous education efforts.

·        Manage ad-hoc assignments (relating to regulatory matters) to move a project forward from Development through Construction, Commissioning, and Operations.

·        Support internal self-assessments and audit preparation.

·        Support continuous process improvement of processes, procedures, and tools to support operational efficiency and effectiveness to meet compliance goals.

·        Collaborate on research and planning for projects under development to fulfill regulatory requirements and support market participation by a new project in an ISO market.

Jupiter seeks individuals eager to develop their core professional knowledge, learn new areas of the business and take on additional responsibilities within Jupiter’s dynamic team. Secondary responsibilities will be tailored to individual candidate backgrounds as well as company priorities.

Requirements

·        Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the energy industry, or equivalent experience.

·        Working knowledge in one or more ISOs preferred (ERCOT, CAISO, SPP, MISO, PJM, NYISO, ISONE).

·        Prior experience working in regulatory compliance position is preferable, but transferable skills from roles such as administrative, legal, engineering, or site operations backgrounds may be an advantage.

·        Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Advanced research and writing skills.

·        Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·        Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 15% of the time.

·        High comfort level with fast-moving organizations, with the curiosity and enthusiasm to innovate and formulate new ideas and to bring the best out of co-workers.

Benefits

Compensation and benefits offered will be commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This role will be based in Austin, TX, Houston TX, or Chicago IL.
