Full Job Description
Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building relationships, a deep understanding of heavy equipment and material handling products and services, and a proven track record of driving sales growth.
Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the heavy equipment and material handling industry, including parts, service, and rental sales.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings, including parts, services, and rental equipment, and effectively communicate their features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives, focusing on both short-term revenue goals and long-term customer relationships.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth in the heavy equipment and material handling market.
- Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and bids to customers, negotiating terms and pricing to maximize sales opportunities and profitability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including sales support, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales transactions and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence, providing regular reports and updates to management.
Requirements
- Industry experience in the heavy equipment market
- Knowledge of power generation equipment and construction equipment preferred
- 2+ years experience in an outside sales position
- Territory management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and listening skills
