Senior Traffic Project Engineer

• Perform advanced, specialized engineering/planning work requiring independent judgment in some or all of the following areas.
• Traffic Impact Studies
• Intersection Capacity and Safety Analysis
• Parking Studies
• Traffic Signal Design
• Review of roadway geometrics and signal timing
• Bicycle and pedestrian evaluation
• Prepare technical reports
• Plan, schedule, and ensure the efficient and timely completion of all phases of projects
• Research local design standards for preparation of traffic studies
• Assist with training of junior staff
• Present information and/or findings to public agencies, review boards, governing bodies, or private citizens

Requirements

Education

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or Transportation Planning

Experience

• 10 or more years of experience in traffic engineering and/or transportation planning,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of traffic analysis software (HCS, CAD, Synchro, VISSIM preferred)
• Experience in staff management and training/mentoring is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience.
• Understands client goals and uses effective communication and leadership skills to manage project schedules and budgets.
• Communicates in a timely and effective manner within a team and with clients, various agencies, and other disciplines working on a project.
• Demonstrates effective leadership skills in directing and completing assigned work; can coordinate efforts on multiple projects.

Benefits

The estimated starting salary pay range for this role is $100,000 -$115,000
