Position: Lead Mechanic

Whizz is preparing to launch its first location in Washington, D.C., and we are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Bike Mechanic to oversee operations and customer interactions at our new store. This role combines technical expertise with customer service responsibilities, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering an exceptional experience to our clients.
As the Lead Bike Mechanic, you will manage the store, perform maintenance and repairs on e-bikes, and assist customers in choosing the right solutions to meet their needs. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a growing organization with plans for future expansion. Key Responsibilities:
Mechanic Duties:
- Perform regular maintenance and repair of e-bikes, including diagnostics and testing for optimal performance.
- Assemble, inspect, and prepare e-bikes for customer delivery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with e-bikes.
- Maintain an organized and safe workshop environment, ensuring tools and parts are readily available.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure all bikes meet company standards.
Customer Service Duties:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries about e-bikes and services.
- Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to customers, both in person and over the phone or email.
- Manage bookings, repairs, and service updates in the company’s system.
- Educate customers on e-bike usage, maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Process payments and handle basic administrative tasks.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a e-bike mechanic (experience in customer service is a plus).
- Strong technical skills in diagnosing and repairing e-bikes or similar equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with customer service tools and systems (training will be provided).
