Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Acts as first point of contact for the benefits team by answering and screening incoming inquiries on the benefits email alias. Responds directly to inquires related to standard benefits policies and wellness processes, etc.
  • Administers several firm benefits programs including Cobra administration, backup dependent/elder care program and parking & commuter benefits program
  • Prepares and processes benefits invoices – including reconciliation and auditing of monthly benefits bills, within established payment deadlines
  • Provides assistance and backup for HSA/FSA transfers, corrections and reporting as needed.
  • Ensures benefits and retirement files are maintained in accordance with department procedures and legal requirements.
  • Prepares benefits termination packets and memos.
  • Conduct quarterly benefit audits to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.

Requirements

  • 2+ year of office experience and/or experience working with databases.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 2007. SharePoint experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality work product.
  • Strong organizational and communication (oral and written) skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high degree of trustworthiness in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Flexibility to work additional hours, as necessary.
