Job description

Sorting Robotics Inc. is seeking a Software Support Technician to join our team. As a Software Support Technician, you will provide technical support and assistance to our customers regarding our software products.

Preferred: Must be comfortable with cannabis (preferred you enjoy it and have experienced it) as we manufacture robotic innovations for the legal cannabis market in the US and Canada.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responding to customer inquiries and requests for technical support via phone, email, or chat.
  • Troubleshooting software issues and providing step-by-step instructions to resolve problems.
  • Logging and keeping track of customer issues and resolutions in our support ticketing system.
  • Collaborating with the software development team to identify and resolve software bugs and defects.
  • Providing product demonstrations and conducting training sessions for customers.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of product documentation and knowledge base articles.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest software updates and releases.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to ongoing process improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and debug software issues
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to coding standards
  • Document software functionality and maintain technical documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in software development, including proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python
  • Strong knowledge of software troubleshooting techniques and tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of DNS (Domain Name System) and its role in web applications
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

Experience level:

  • 1 year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • On call
  • Weekends as needed
