This vital role requires a professional who is passionate about making a difference in the Sedona community while ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our payroll processes. You will be responsible for all payroll-related functions, including timely processing of employee payments, maintaining up-to-date records, and ensuring adherence to all relevant legal requirements. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing on a biweekly basis, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, including employee hours, deductions, and benefits.
  • Address payroll-related inquiries from staff with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Implement improvements in payroll systems to enhance accuracy and workflow.
  • Collaborate with HR to accurately process new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
  • Prepare regular payroll reports for management review and auditing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of payroll management experience, ideally in a nonprofit setting.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-focused environment.
