Full Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Payroll Manager to join our expanding team. The Payroll Manager will play a pivotal role in managing payroll operations for multiple clients. Key responsibilities include preparing and reviewing payroll, interacting directly with clients, collecting payroll data, assisting clients with annual open enrollment, setting up new employer accounts across various states, supporting payroll tax filings and notices, and managing client employee inquiries. The role will also involve handling HR-related tasks such as employee document retention, regulatory compliance, and new employee onboarding.
Responsibilities:
- Manage payroll processing for multiple clients accurately and timely.
- Process salaries, manage tax deductions, and administer benefits across multiple clients.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and best practices.
- Interact closely with clients to gather payroll information and resolve inquiries effectively.
- Support clients with open enrollment and fulfill other HR-related requests.
- Establish new employer payroll tax accounts as required by different states.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and tax filings.
- Implement and maintain payroll system.
- Support client internal and external audits by providing records and timely documentation.
- Maintain client confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Handle special payroll projects and initiatives as they arise.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in payroll administration and management.
- Prior supervisory experience a plus.
- Strong client service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP, Gusto, Trinet, and Paycom
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations, best practices and compliance requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience in a hybrid working environment, with at least 3 days onsite required.
