Role Summary:

TEAM Risk Management Strategies (www.teamemployer.com) is looking for an eager and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join and support our rapidly growing company. This role is responsible for supporting the Service Teams, being a frontline representative for TEAM, and addressing client and team needs in a timely manner. This is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Operations & Compliance Manager.

 

What you will do:

  • Set up new employees in TEAM’s systems and review onboarding packets as necessary
  • Process account and employee terminations and transfers in TEAM’s systems
  • Communicate with the Client Services and Employee Relations teams regarding employee onboarding and termination statuses
  • Draft employee correspondence for new hires and employment terminations
  • Audit employee setups, account set ups, and employment termination changes in HRIS system
  • Maintain and perform quality checks on account and employee files
  • Complete verifications of employment, unemployment/disability claim requests, and wage surveys
  • Support the HR and Service teams with administrative needs, including triaging and responding to routine employee and client inquiries in a timely manner, auditing employee records, and assisting with compliance updates on employee profiles
  • Serve as a backup contact for employees to complete onboarding tasks, such as collecting employment and payroll forms or following up on missing items
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned in support of HR, Payroll, or Service Operations

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in general office or fast-paced, customer service-related position preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrates a positive, upbeat, and welcoming disposition with internal and external clients and approaches all interactions in a client-friendly and solutions-focused manner
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple competing tasks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces high-quality work
  • Exercises good judgment and decision to proactively research and escalate issues
  • Demonstrates good teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to take instruction from multiple avenues
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and able to learn and navigate other internal software systems quickly and efficiently
  • Strong professional presence, including all written and oral communications
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred

This role is based in California. The California pay range for this position is $19 - $23 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to the applicant’s skills, work experience, knowledge, abilities, education, etc. Note that this range may not apply to employees based outside of California.
