Under the direction of the Vice President of Diagnostic and Support Services and the Laboratory Medical Director, the Laboratory Director coordinates and is fully accountable for all daily laboratory activities including management of staff, insuring all hospital and department policies and procedures are followed, overseeing contracts with vendors involving equipment and products, and assuring the laboratory is reporting results in an accurate and timely manner. In addition, this person must also provide input and support to hospital wide committees and strategic objectives.

Under general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the Laboratory Administrative Director plans, coordinates, directs and maintains all operational facets of the laboratory, including Blood Bank, Coagulation, Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Histology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Urinalysis.  Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all state, federal and local regulatory laws & standards.
