Grow new customer acquisition at the lowest cost per customer acquisition (CAC) by focusing on high-value customer strategies that support the overall business goals and objectives.
Job Description:
As a Performance Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for driving customer acquisition and managing aggressive paid search and social campaigns with full budget accountability across a variety of paid digital media (including but not exclusive to Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Snapchat, and other varying media networks. You are a direct marketer at your core and an expert at iterative marketing practices.
You’ll need expert account optimization and will need to leverage data-driven learnings to execute cross-channel experimentation with audience targeting, creative testing, and keyword expansion to drive conversions and build awareness for our high-growth brand.
Expected Outcomes:
1. Drive weekly acquisition growth up to a $60 blended CPO and CAC under $125.
2. Analyze weekly campaign performance among the top and bottom performers to derive insights and share iteration, direction and strategic insights with marketing/photo/creative partners.
3. Successfully launch, manage and optimize campaigns in-platform to meet CPO and CAC objectives.
4. Use technical and industry knowledge to craft creative briefs for ad launches.
The ideal candidate for this role...
- Is a subject matter expert in paid digital media (Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and LinkedIn are required).
- Is analytic and savvy in Google Analytics, Data Studio, Tableau, and spreadsheets.
- Has experience with content management systems.
- Passionate about getting into the weeds with execution, experimentation, optimization, and testing.
- Has a deep understanding of analytics and a passion for leveraging data insights to drive action.
- Can proactively identify opportunities for iteration and efficiency to accelerate performance.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in management of performance marketing campaigns across paid search and paid social channels including planning, budgeting, daily execution, and optimization.
- Leverage data science to make actionable changes, drive channel experimentation, and aggressively accelerate performance.
- Be at the forefront of technical enhancements such as CAPI and post-iOS14 updates to ensure optimal acquisition performance across paid social and paid search. Partner with internal and external resources to implement required changes.
- Be a subject-matter expert on performance marketing optimization. Research and implement emerging trends and competitive analysis to drive growth.
- Support Wantable and private brand organic social strategies with a focus on community growth, engagement, and conversions.
- Assist with white-labeling influencer campaign strategies to merge scaling influencer programs and paid social efforts.
- Proactively identify opportunities for performance media strategies to inform and facilitate acquisition growth, including but not limited to SEO, display media, social community growth, abandon cart + retention strategies, brand launches, capabilities enhancements, and improved customer experience.
- Ability to analyze data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
- Curious and data-driven - you have an insatiable curiosity about our businesses and how what your team does impacts other teams and understand the data and KPI’s of our business as well as your department.
- Familiarity with web analytics tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and Tableau.
- Optimize the e-commerce website for better conversion rates, focusing on improving product pages, checkout processes, and user experience. Understanding of copywriting, images, site speed, and other factors that improve and affect conversion rates.
- Knowledge of how to set up and manage online stores, including product listings, inventory management, search, and categorization.
- Ability to create engaging and relevant content that resonates with the target audience.
- Understand the importance of storytelling and content distribution across different platforms.
- Manage a budget efficiently, allocating resources to the most effective channels and campaigns and adjusting for profitability or other key ROI targets.
- Understand how to track expenses and ensure ROI on marketing spend.
- Ability to comprehend the correlation between expenditures and Wantable's overallProfit and Loss statement.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in a performance marketing role, with a minimum of two years managing paid search programs.
- Expertise in paid search and paid social management with a broad understanding of iterative marketing and direct response ad strategies.
- Expertise managing campaigns through native ad techs (Google Adwords, Bing, Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook Catalog Manager).
- Experience reporting through native platforms (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Reporting) and third-party reporting tools (Tableau, Supermetrics).
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Extremely detail-oriented with a laser focus on project management skills.
- Team player with strong communication & organization skills and a can-do attitude.
- Can work independently and is a strong problem solver.
- Proficiency in the following marketing channels: SEO, SEM, email marketing, SMS marketing, content marketing, Paid and Organic social media, and affiliate marketing.
- Understanding of e-commerce-specific digital marketing tactics, such as retargeting, cart abandonment strategies, and product listing ads (PLAs).
- Understanding and experience with A/B or multi-variant testing.
Bonus Points...
Previous experience working in a D2C or retail company.
Experience with affiliate and display marketing.
Experience with SEO tools such as Moz, SEM Rush, and Yoast.
Google Adwords Certification.
Facebook Blueprint Certification.

This position is located in Milwaukee, WI and partially remote with some mandatory meetings and events that will need to be scheduled in person at our Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI as directed by your supervisor.

This role requires night/weekend adjustments and therefore doesn’t have set “business hours” however most operations, meetings, and work are expected to be done during business hours M-F central standard time.
