TransWest's People and Culture team is growing and we are looking for a Recruiting Specialist to join our team!
The Recruiting Specialist actively partners with the Recruiting Team to meet and anticipate the evolving staffing needs of TransWest. The Recruiting Specialist helps delivers a positive “start to finish” candidate experience during every stage of the recruiting process. The Recruiting Specialist will assist in various stages of the recruiting process and will require a high level of organization and the ability to multi-task. This role focuses on recruiting for our hourly team member roles which include CDL drivers, van drivers, brand ambassadors, valets and more.
We are looking for a candidate that has the ability to work from our Seattle (SODO) office and our South Everett Based bus yard location based on our weekly interview and hiring schedules. This is a fully in-person based role on a Monday through Friday basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review resumes and schedule and conduct phone and in-person interviews.
- Screens and assess the candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, and experience in a consistent manner.
- Schedule, promote and run TransWest onsite hiring events as well as attend offsite job and recruiting fairs
- Prepare recruiting materials and on-boarding paperwork
- Set the tone of excitement and positivity in all aspects of the recruiting process.
- Support the Recruiting Team and People and Culture Team to solidify and promote the company’s brand and reputation.
- Conduct detailed reference checks and facilitate background checks, drug screens, DOL compliance, Driving Abstracts etc.
- Stay current on the company’s organizational structure, policies, and state and federal laws pertaining to fair employment practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Recruiting Manager or People and Culture Management

Requirements
- AA or undergraduate degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- Recruiting experience preferred.
- Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting.
- Experience with various interview formats, i.e. phone, remote, structured, group etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and resume databases preferred.
- Current working knowledge of legislation pertaining to employment and fair hiring practices including, but not limited to, Title XII; ADEA; ADA; FLSA.
- Experience in HR Generalist activities a plus.
- Experience hiring in the Transportation industry a plus.
***This is a Monday-Friday in office role
