EPIC Early Learning is excited to announce an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as an Early Learning Associate Director. As a private, nonprofit organization, EPIC has been providing high-quality early childhood educational services to children and families in Central Washington for over 35 years. Our mission is to empower children to reach their full potential through nurturing relationships, engaging experiences, and comprehensive education.
The Early Learning Associate Director will work closely with the ECEAP Director and content team to ensure the effective operation and continuous improvement of all our early learning programs. This position requires a strong understanding of early childhood education, program management, and a passion for promoting the well-being and development of young children.
Key responsibilities of the Early Learning Associate Director include overseeing program quality and compliance, providing leadership and support to program mangers and teachers, collaborating with community partners, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives.

Requirements
- BA in Early Childhood, Human Services or related management field OR equivalent combination of experience and/or training in Early Childhood which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Meet the State of Washington minimum licensing requirements for a center director.
- At least three years of demonstrated experience working in a, ECEAP, Head Start/Migrant Head Start, child care or other comparable programs in a leadership position
- At least three years of supervisory/administrative experience.
- Demonstrated, successful experience working with budgets.
- Ability to work with minimal direction from supervisor.
- Experience with low-income families preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively manage change and prioritize multiple demands.
- Willingness and ability to travel alone to all of EPIC's sites and to conferences and meetings outside of EPIC's service area.
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License, own transportation and required auto insurance.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure that EPIC’s early childhood programs are operating at a high level of quality at all times so that children’s welfare, safety and school readiness are of primary focus.
- Be committed to characterizing a culture of safety within our centers, playgrounds, buses and anywhere that children may be present. Be familiar with and encourage EPICs culture of “See Something, Say Something”.
- Collaborate with key community partners including school districts, Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF), health agencies and others.
- Assure that all funding source requirements and licensing WAC’s are met through the use of a comprehensive internal monitoring system and regular site visits.
- Work in collaboration with the Director of ECEAP during decision making processes to ensure smooth integration and implementation of services.
- Team with the Director of ECEAP and members of the Content Team to ensure content areas and center operations align with program goals and objectives.
7. Participate in program monitoring and self-assessment as designed to determine program trends or issues, strategizes with team for follow-up, and ensures completion of follow-up.
8. Reports policy violations and/or unprofessional behavior to supervisor in a timely manner in accordance with EPIC’s policies/procedures and with WACs.
9. Provide direct supervision to the East Wenatchee ECEAP Center Manager.
10. Represent the agency at local, state and national level training and meetings.
11. Assure compliance according to Performance Standards, licensing WAC’s, and other requirements in Family Support, ERSEA, and center operations.
12. Assure that parents have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the early childhood program and their child’s development.
13. Participate in the continual planning and evaluating for Early Childhood programs with the Director of ECEAP other managers and parents.
14. Actively communicates status of projects, implementation of new projects or those that are ongoing to the ECEAP Director.
15. Support the North Central Center Management team with dental screenings, as needed.
16. Provide support to the North Central Center Management team with licensing needs.
17. Oversee & coordinate ERSEA content for North Central, which includes recruitment plan, ensuring full enrollment, and ELMS Monitoring.
18. Oversee & Coordinate Family Engagement content for North Central, including support with Family Nights, Parent Ambassador program and policy council.
19. Point of contact for Transportation for North Central (ECEAP sites).
20. Point of contact for Facilities issues with the ECEAP East Wenatchee site. Collaborating with ECEAPs Transportation/Facilities Manager, as needed.
21. Promote the professional growth and development of assigned staff. Follow written guidelines for conducting staff performance evaluations.
22. Complete additional tasks and projects that are assigned by the Director of ECEAP. These assignments may be short or long term.
Pay Level: $76,00- 78,00 annually

Conditions of Employment:
- Prior to employment, complete a pre-employment drug screen, Tb skin test by an EPIC approved healthcare provider at no cost to the employee.
- Pre-employment basic physical by an EPIC healthcare provider (obtain within (30) days of employment and no cost to the employee).
- Must pass an initial and periodic background check through the Washington State Department of Children, Youth & Families (DCYF).
- Provide proof of MMR vaccination and/ or resistance to Measles, Mumps & Rubella.
- Current Food Handlers card (obtain the training within 30 days of employment).
- Current First Aid/CPR card (obtain within thirty 30 days of employment).
- Complete Childcare Basics 30 hours STARS training within 3 months of hire
- Meet the minimum education requirements within the timeframe as stated in the performance standards.
- Complete Child Abuse and Neglect training and all other mandated training.
